It's a big truck you build there. You will need to customize the drive shaft to make it work before. A lift of 15 inches is on the extreme side, so it will take some creativity to run. I just found your site, what a wealth of information.
I have a 1999 Dakota 4x4 V6 5-speed.Last year I put 31 "tires on it, what difference in the mud. I would put a 3-4" lift kit on it soon. Which companies would you recommend? From what I have found Country Tuff seems most people go with it.
What are your recommendations for kits and options for shock? Are there companies that build skid plates to protect the transfer case?
Oh yeah ... I also get a winch for off-road. What size do I get £ 4000. +? I went to Van and Truck World, here in Toronto that I first thought I had to get a new bumper that could support it.They recommended installing a hitch on the front so I could use the front or the back of the truck and then put it away when not in use. Would this reduce my clearance at the front?

Hi Andrew,
As a recovery winch, hitch the idea is not bad. You could have someone build a custom receiver hitch on the front behind the bumper from the factory. Thus, we avoid the high clearance, and it would not be a problem.The hitch winch option is good if you want the flexibility to use the front or back.
